Although escape rooms are generally used for education, they can be beneficial in educational settings — especially for medical education.
According to the Journal for Nurses in Professional Development, escape rooms in medical settings can promote professionalism, the delegation of tasks, team building, and collaboration under pressure.
Escape rooms foster learning in a different, exciting way. That’s why Children’s Mercy worked with Breakout KC to combine real-life situations with the interactive style of escape rooms, creating a learning environment that’s beneficial and more encouraging for participants.
